Knowing is half the battle.
Greetings Jackhammers! The weekend is upon us, and I want you all to reconsider our current raid objectives. The upcoming nerf will help, of course, but we need to recruit another dedicated DPS. Please keep your eyes open, and continue to sign up for raids.
We did have two new people last night; but they were sorely under geared and up to par for DPS. They did great as far as mechanics; but the DPS just wasn't there.
I'll be trying to recruit this weekend, and encourage you to do the same.

Happy Friday AJ crew! Just wanted to pop in for a quick post and update. Everyweek we seem to have issues with the Gunship in Dragon Soul... I know we all have the concept; but I really think the group makeup was a tad off.
With that said; please do not be offended on whom I choose to take for the night.
On a secondary note... It looks like our Star Wars: The Old Republic crew is growing and doing well. I'm very excited for these guys; and encourage you to hook up with the AJ crew in SW:TOR. Currently, there isn't a Mac version; so at least Josh and I are SOL until that happens (don't give me crap about dual booting, etc.).
I'm fairly confident that once there is a Mac version; I'll be dabbing into the scene to see how it is. I will be no means be abandoning Warcraft; but to be honest... I'm not sure I'm going to play in the next expansion. I'm still waiting for Blizzard to tell me they were joking about the panda monks... I will probably try the test realm/beta for Pandarian; but... They are really going to have to 'wow' me to keep me as a subscriber.

And it begins… again…
Hope everyone had a great holiday and fantastic New Year! I'm excited to be back after a two-week stint while visiting family.
We are back in full swing with raiding, starting tonight. I noticed a few didn't sign up yet for the upcoming raids; so be sure to sign up asap.
I also know we have a handful of guildies that are playing Star Wars... Be sure to keep together and stay active on the website, etc. I created a vent channel for you guys... (SW:TOR)

Yes Deathwing, there is a Santa Claus….
About last night... We were missing a couple of our regulars; and had to swap people around... This also gave us a late start. I know it wasn't a real smooth run, but we did manage to get four bosses down. Not great, and really not many upgrades for people.
Regardless, we managed to pull through the best we could and are that much closer to a full clear.
I'd like to try and continue on Friday (tomorrow) night at 8:30. If you can, please sign up... If there's no way you can; please let me know.

Nice job tonight everyone. Two more bosses down, and we also made some great progress on Deathwings Spine. We'll start all over on Wednesday, so be ready for a big clear.
Just a reminder, I'll be out for a couple of weeks starting next week... You guys own!

I used to kill bosses… then I took an arrow in the knee…
Last night, we were able to easily clear the first four bosses... but Ultraxian really gave us additional problems. We totally have the mechanics down; but that last 3% is when he goes nuts.
Need to up our DPS a little bit, and work on a quick rotation for raid cool downs.
Otherwise, a very smooth night. We got some much needed gear; which can only help us. I know a few mentioned this last night; but try to get in a LFR group this week. It doesn't save you to your current raid; and will not only help sharpen your game but also maybe a piece of gear.

Well, we were able to easily down Hagara Stormbinder, but had some difficulty with Ultraxion. It's not a hard fight; it just required everyone to be perfect.
Good job, nonetheless... I'm confident we will have another notch in our Dragon Soul belt.

What a great night for AJ! We stepped into the new raid area (Dragon Soul) and came away with three bosses down (and two one-shots). Great job everyone... Here are the screenshots.

That dragons’ got soul!
Right. So the new raid content is out; aptly named 'Dragon Soul'. Sure Blizzard could have come up with a better name... heck, my nine year old could come up with a better name. Regardless, it's here and we will be venturing into the new raid content tonight.
I've been reading up on the fights, strategies and kill order. The first boss we will be going after is 'Morchok'. Read up on the fight and be ready to talk about it. After chok-chok... we will be working on 'Warlord Zon'ozz'. I'm confident that tomorrow we will have screenshots on the website of these two boss kills.
Again, read up on the fights/strategies and be prepared for wiping... That also means; stock up on flasks and buff food.
On a side note... We've had some interest from current and past guild members about playing SW:TOR. I have minimal interest at the moment, but many are chomping at the bit to jump into the Star Wars world. Regardless of what I'm doing; those who are interested are wanting to continue the AJ legacy into this new MMORPG. I'm all for it, and will support the venture the best I can. I created a page on the site, and I'll continue to update the page as more information flows in.

Patch 4.3 – On live realms this week
We will soon be raiding in a new area, with new bosses and mechanics.
Video of some of theses new fights are already available since they were part of the PTR. Some of them looks really easy, but will probably be changed for a live patch.
Tomorrow, ton of guilds will jump in this new raid and new guides will probably be made at the same time.
Since we raid on Wednesday we should be able to have a preview of the strategy before-hand. We should use this fact to our advantage to have a nice 1st progression night.
I know we can do this ! Go AJ go!
